Proper Form for Chest Press/Bench Press

Once you get a feel for proper form, you’ll be able to maintain it even when you get fatigued on your third or fourth set. This will make sure that the muscle group you’re targeting gets sufficiently worn out to get benefits. If you don’t use proper form for chest press, your body will start to compensate when you get tired by using your shoulder muscles, and you will see less progress over time. I don’t know about you, but I want my workouts to count!

What Is the Cost of a Personal Trainer in Carlsbad?

Self-employed personal trainers like myself generally have more experience. This gives us the ability to tailor our personal training programs to fit your needs. We also have more flexibility when it comes to contact outside of our personal training sessions. High-Protein Salmon Burritos (Easy Recipe with Paleo Options)

This recipe for salmon burritos is very customizable. You can either use canned salmon or cook a thawed filet and flake it yourself. Some of my clients like those Paleo coconut tortillas you can find in natural food markets, while others swear by homemade cassava flour tortillas.

I like to grill up enough lean meat for most of the week. Then I will whip up a few sauces like this one.

Six ounces of 93% lean ground turkey contains 252 calories and 13 grams of fat. 6 ounces of lean ground pork contains 280 calories and a whopping 44.5 grams of fat. (Data from the Lose It app.)

I Already Do Cardio at the Gym—Why Do I Need Strength Training?

The truth is, you’re seriously short changing yourself if all you do is use the elliptical or treadmill. Cardio is critical to physical fitness, but it doesn’t give you the same benefits as strength training such as the kind you would do in my Carlsbad personal training gym. Here are just a few unique benefits of strength training: easier to perform activities of daily living like cleaning, caring for your children, etc.; faster metabolism; injury prevention; better posture; correct muscle imbalances.
